It’s a little before midnight and I (Kelly) thought I would update you all before we turned in for the evening. Lisa has been moved to a private room in the main hospital at M. D. Anderson where she and Nat are spending the night. Post-surgery was rough for Lisa, but her doctors were able to adjust her meds a little after 9 p.m. to help make her feel more comfortable. Lisa’s pain was about a 3 – 4 (on a scale of 10) when we (Mom, Dad and I) left around 10:30 p.m. We are hopeful that Lisa and Nat will get some much-needed rest tonight. Lisa’s primary doctor is expected to stop by first thing in the morning to check in to see how she is doing. We are still hopeful for a release sometime tomorrow, but Lisa said that would go home only if she were REALLY feeling good. We’ll give you another update once we get a better sense of how Lisa’s night went. Many, many thanks for all the cards and well wishes. Lisa has so appreciated everything, and it has helped her work through the last couple of challenging days.

Good morning Thanks to Nat and Kelly for the recent updates. Wow, Lisa, you are really milking this breast cancer deal…you got to ride in an ambulance? I am so envious! Seriously though, I truly hope you are feeling better today. Sounds like you had a little blip, and you’ll be back in your own comfy home very soon. I’m thinking about you and your family. And the dirt story from Mary. And how you used to sew the cutest fabrics for patches onto your jeans. I love you, C.
